"Don’t Call It Off-Space!" is a presentation by Kunstverein das weisse haus celebrating their 10 year anniversary and giving an overview of their programme to date. In the last 10 years das weisse haus has run an exhibition program of young, contemporary artists from six locations in the city of Vienna, established an international artist residency programme and studios for local artists through the initiative 'studio das weisse haus'. das weisse haus was one of the first institutions in Vienna to create additionally an exchange programme for curators, cultural producers and art writers and recently invented the Erste Bank MehrWERT Art Award in collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Forum (ACF) New York and the Erste Group. The consistent transformation of the locations and the associated characteristics of the exhibition programme show the flexibility and openness of the art association with their contemporary approach and commitment.The works of the artists Nives Widauer and Martin Roth are presented at the Vienna Contemporary in run up to their respective exhibitions at the gallery in 2018 as well as new video works by Elīna Maligna.
