With 21 exhibitions conceptualised by international curators in Vienna’s leading art galleries, the gallery festival examines the significance of language in contemporary art. Due to the digitalisation of all areas of life, we are increasingly confronted with the verbalisation of images and the pictorialisation of language. To what extent can this tendency be observed in today’s art production?
Under the title “image/reads/text”, curated by_vienna is taking place for the ninth time. curated by_vienna is organised and financed by the Vienna Business Agency with the aim of strengthening Vienna as an international gallery and business location.
