viennacontemporary, Austria’s leading international art fair, invites you to apply for the next edition at Messe Wien Halle D.
From 12-15 September 2024, viennacontemporary will present established galleries, exciting new additions, and engaged curated exhibitions. With its popular focus on art and galleries from Central and Eastern Europe, Vienna's leading contemporary art fair strengthens its position as the premier destination for surprising discoveries.
With a unique selection of contemporary art and a dense supporting program, viennacontemporary places Vienna at the center of the international art calendar and attracts numerous collectors, art professionals, journalists, opinion leaders, and personalities from politics, business, and culture from all over the world for an unforgettable week dedicated to fine art.
Please read the application form and admission requirements carefully to ensure that you provide all the required information. The selection process is based on the quality of the application and exhibition concept. Please note that the result of your application may be affected by incomplete information.
An international admission committee is responsible for the selection process. The exhibition contract between the applicant and VC ARTFAIRS GmbH (VCT) is concluded upon receipt of the written confirmation of admission. Applicants will be informed about the result of their application at the beginning of June 2024.
The opening will take place on Thursday, 12 September 2024, and the fair will close on Sunday, 15 September 2024, at 6:00 pm. Set-up will take place on Tuesday, 10, and Wednesday, 11 September, 2024. For a detailed schedule, please click here.
An application fee of 200,00 euros (excl. 20% VAT) is due with the application. This fee will not be reimbursed in case of a rejected application. With the acceptance of the application, the fee will be credited to your account.
We kindly ask you to agree to our conditions for admission, which you will have to do in Step 5 when completing your application.

You can apply for a booth in one of the following categories.
The booth price includes basic booth construction (white walls, set of lights, power socket).
All prices mentioned here are excluding 20% VAT and a 1% legal fee.

Section for solo presentations of artists from the late 20th century. The number of presentations is limited to ten. Participants are invited by a curator.
Section for the solo presentation of a young Austrian artist/artist group. Only Austrian artists, artists living and working in Austria, and artists educated in Austria are eligible. The age limit is 40 years. The number of presentations in ZONE1 is limited to ten. Participants are invited by a curator.
A non-commercial section for the presentation of Austrian and international museums, institutions, and collections active within contemporary art and culture.

viennacontemporary aims to provide an opportunity for leading galleries and institutions with international standards and practices to present their artists and works on a prominent commercial platform. Payment of application fee
Along with the participation application, an application fee of 200.00 euros (excl. 20% VAT) must be paid. This fee is non-refundable even in the case of an unsuccessful application. If the Admission Committee accepts your application, this application fee will be credited to your account.
Please pay the application fee via PayPal or bank transfer. In the case of bank transfer, please send a transfer confirmation to exhibitor_relations@viennacontemporary.at to allow for quick processing. Please note that an application is only complete once the fee has been received.
